As the Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) enters its 7th year partnering with Khan Academy Districts, district leaders are doubling down on a strategy to increase student engagement and SAT performance: the “You Khan Do It” Challenge. Writing Coach is an AI-powered Khanmigo activity from Khan Academy designed to guide students throughthe entire process of drafting an academic essay from start to finish.Teachers can create essay assignments with Writing Coach, track students’ writing progress, and viewstudent chats, outlining history, drafting history, AI feedback, and revisions.
